Cambridge English: First
Our Cambridge English First courses follow on from our B1 Level classes and provide learners with the necessary language skills to live and work independently in an English speaking country or study on a course taught in English. The courses are specially tailored to suit the needs and interests of our students, making their learning experience motivating, but also relevant.
After successful completion of the course, learners can prove that they have practical language skills at upper-intermediate level, B2 Level on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and proof that they can use English in everyday written and spoken situations.
While our B2 level courses aim to develop all four language skills – Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking, they also introduce learners to new, yet very important, structural aspects of the English language. Students joining the course practise important skills, such as selecting relevant information, writing formal and informal emails, letters and reports. Furthermore, pupils learn how to express different views, feelings, opinions and reasons, using a wide range of vocabulary and grammatical structures. In addition, learners also practise asking and answering enquiries of a factual kind. They learn to express criticism, disapproval and agreement.
After completing our B2 level course learners are well equipped to start working in an English-speaking environment or study at an upper-intermediate level, such as foundation courses.
